FAQ's

Our customers often ask us questions about our air conditioning services and how we can help them to meet their cooling and heating needs for their home or business. Here, we bring together some of the most frequently asked questions so that you can be better informed:

  1. Why Does My Air Conditioning Unit Leak Water?

Lots of our customers ask this question, but the answer is usually because they have opted out of their annual air conditioning equipment service. Although many people are keen to cut their costs by foregoing their yearly maintenance check-up, this often proves to be false economy since air conditioning units are just as prone to break down like any other type of electrical equipment. Air conditioners have moving parts that can be affected by dust particles. When these combine with condensate water, the outlet pipe can easily be blocked. As part of an annual service, both the outlet pipe and condensate drain are unblocked and cleaned, and this prevents water leaks from occurring. It is partly for this reason that we always recommend a yearly service to our customers.

  2. How Often Do I Need To Service My Air Conditioner?

We recommend that air conditioning units are serviced annually to ensure that all of their components are functioning efficiently and that the system isn’t being overworked which could cause higher energy bills. Manufacturers of air conditioning units also recommend an annual service to ensure that the system remains covered for its full warranty period.

  3. Will A Site Survey Be Necessary?

Whether you are a new or existing customer we recommend a site survey to determine your precise air conditioning needs when you are considering an installation. However, we provide this survey free of charge for your benefit.

  4. What Is F-Gas Registration?

F-Gas Registration is something that every business that installs, maintains or services air conditioning equipment that contains F-Gas refrigerants must have in order to operate legally. Air Flo is fully F-Gas registered so you can have complete peace of mind that the engineer who work on your air conditioning unit will be fully qualified and will operate safely within the recommended guidelines.
